This past weekend was the one year mark for the massive 9.0 that struck Japan. I remember on the day of the earthquake I had been released early from work and was at home on talking to my girlfriend on Skype. I hadn't even changed out of uniform yet when suddenly I felt the beginnings of the quake. We get them very frequently in Northern Japan, so, it didn't strike me as anything out of the ordinary. However, as time passed the earthquake just kept going and getting more and more severe with every passing second. My furniture and fixtures were swaying precariously, so, I stepped out my front door to see what things looked like.
